Horizon
Human Services has a comprehensive program serving children and
families with behavioral health needs. There are various levels of
care available.
An Intake is required to participate in these programs.
If you are not already receiving services from Horizon Human
Services you can contact Angie Valencia at (520) 836-1688 to
schedule an Intake. Wrap-Around
Services Wrap-around
services are intensive services for children with severe behavioral
and/or emotional problems. Services are provided in the home and
school. The wrap-around team consists of a case manager and a
therapist who work with the entire family for 10 to20 hours weekly.
The program is designed to work with the child and his/her family,
so that the child can better function in the community. In-Home
Counseling:
Family
and individual counseling services can be provided in the home.
These services involve a therapist coming to a family's home to
provide treatment. Families who do not have transportation, or who
have an unsuccessful history in outpatient counseling are eligible
for in-home services. Treatment-Focused
Groups: Treatment
groups are available for girls ages 7-11 and pre-teen/teen girls.
These groups offer a variety of treatment-focused topics that
may include, but are not limited to: self-image, peer pressure,
family, friendship, eating disorders, body image, intimacy,
self-esteem, coping skills and goal setting.
Groups typically run on Saturdays and Thursdays.
Transportation is available.
