For participants determined to be Seriously Mentally Ill (SMI) and who are Title XIX eligible Horizon Human Services provides an Adult Partial Care program that runs five days a week Monday-Friday together with transportation services to and from the group. The program is recovery oriented and provides a diverse range of both educational and social opportunities for attendees including interactive women's and men's groups, community outings to local resources such as the library and Walmart, medication education, development of independent living skills and practical support in assisting individuals with their day to day needs. The aim of the group, through increased opportunities for socialization and the promotion of autonomy and life skills, is to empower individuals to fulfill their potential and adaptively participate within the community in which they live.
