The Horizon Human Services Domestic Violence Safe Home (aka Gila County Safe Home Network), receives funding from ADHS and DES-CSA to provide services for domestic violence victims in Southern Gila County. Service provision began in March, 1998.
The Horizon Human Services Domestic Violence Safe Home exists to serve all people who experience domestic violence and to provide a comprehensive array of domestic violence services to improve the overall quality of living for all people residing within the community. The Safe Home offers temporary emergency safe shelter, 24-hour crisis line, crisis intervention, advocacy, support groups, information and referral services, community education/training, residential and non residential case management, outreach and transportation for victims of domestic violence.
The Horizon Human Services Domestic Violence Safe Home is under the guidance of a community committee, the Gila County Safe Home Network. Its vision is to live in a world in which the community, through its combined efforts and support, will take responsibility for eliminating violence in its citizens lives whereby all people in all stages of life will feel safe from physical, sexual, emotional, and psychological abuses.
Services for victims of domestic violence include:

Horizon Human Services offers a state licensed, gender specific, evidenced based Domestic Violence Program called Emerge. Emerge meets state minimum standards for Batter Intervention Services that provide guidelines related to victim safety. It provides education on relationship skills and offers batterers an opportunity to learn new coping skills. Intakes are available through the intake departments in Pinal and Gila Counties. For all Self Pay individuals, the assessment fee is $80.00 and ALL groups are $20.00.
