Horizon?s Prevention Program focus on decreasing the prevalence and severity of behavioral health problems among populations that do
not have a diagnosable behavioral health disorder. Prevention is accomplished by developing the strengths of individuals, families,
and communities. Prevention is a part of a continuum of behavioral health services that includes treatment and recovery support.
Horizon embraces a Community Development strategy whereby key stakeholders in our community (including families, youth, schools,
behavioral health, etc.) come together to access community needs and collaboratively plan and implement prevention activities.
Prevention works with entire communities, schools, and other systems to establish conditions that support the development and
maintenance of healthy behavior.
