Horizon Human Services works with Arizona’s Rehabilitation Services Administration to support and assist persons with disabilities in pursuing vocational goals. The Agency works with a diverse population of individuals including persons with psychiatric, developmental, learning, and physical disabilities. By design, the department emphasizes customization and individualization of assistance to persons with significant disabilities.

Major areas of assistance include Job Development and Placement:

This service assists persons with the development of employment-related skills and in searching for a place of employment within their community, utilizing a person-centered approach that emphasizes individualism, inclusion and choice.

Supported Employment:

This service provides and coordinates individualized supports that assist persons with the maintenance of employment through a person-centered philosophy that emphasizes inclusion, integration, and natural supports.

Supported Education:

This service is designed to assist persons with achieving post-secondary educational goals that are linked to a vocational goal, through a person-centered service that embraces the philosophy of self-direction.

Rehabilitation Instructional Services:

This service provides various group and individual assistance to persons with significant disabilities, utilizing a person-centered philosophy of assisting persons in making their own choices. Included in these services are prevocational assistance, exploration of work options, educational assistance, and socialization assistance associated with employment.
